European Commission Approves Extra 48.2 Million Euro to Bulgaria for Dealing with Migration

The European Commission has approved an extra 48.2 million euros to Bulgaria for tackling migration. Financing comes from the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and from the Internal Security Fund. The Bulgarian Ministry of Interior is going to receive 36.3 million euros for border management improvement including purchasing equipment for border surveillance and computer systems for border police. Further 12 million euro will go into migration flow management. The resolution supplements agreements between EC and Bulgaria under which financing worth 101 million euros has already been released to this country, BTA reports.
