EU Commissioner Avramopoulos on Visit to Bulgaria

Dimitris Avramopoulos, European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, is paying a visit to Bulgaria.
The EU official is expected to pay a visit to the territory the Border Police Regional Directorate based in the town of Elhovo is responsible for.
Mr Avramopoulos will be accompanied by Rumyana Bachvarova, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Coalition Policy and Public Administration and Minister of Interior.
The European Commissioner will be introduced to the measures Bulgaria implements to protect its borders and manage migration flows.
Mr Avramopoulos and Ms Bachvarova will hold a press briefing at 11:30 a.m. at the regional directorate.
