The Foreign Ministers of the 28 EU member-states approved measures against Turkey over its illegal drilling in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) on Monday, endorsing the conclusions prepared by the permanent representatives without any changes. The measures include cutting EU pre-accession assistance for 2020, suspending EU-Turkey high-level talks, and ceasing the European Investment Bank's lending activities in the country. According to Cyprus News Agency (CNA), the conclusions are as follows: "In light of Turkey's continued and new illegal drilling activities, the Council decides to suspend negotiations on the Comprehensive Air Transport Agreement and agrees not to hold the Association Council and further meetings of the EU-Turkey high-level dialogues for the time being."
