Wednesday, 11 November 2015
“Bulgaria’s strategic geographic location, the start of procedures on the oil and gas search and exploration in the Black Sea, as well as the speeded up work on the construction of intersystem connectivity between Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries, are perfect preconditions for the establishment of a regional gas distribution centre in Bulgaria.
The realisation of this concept is yet another guarantee for the energy security of Europe,” Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said speaking at an international Energy Infrastructure Forum held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In the frames of the discussion Minister Petkova informed the participants that the shareholders in the joint investment company ACGB had reached agreement on the clauses in the agreement on project’s development. She added that a date would be officially set for the signing of the final investment decision on the construction of the Greece-Bulgarian interconnector.
