Employment in Greek Regions Up 1.5 Pct in 2017 According to Eurostat

Employment in Greek regions posted a 1.5 pct increase in 2017 (63,000 persons) according to Eurostat report issued on Tuesday.
The largest increase was recorded in the region of Central Greece (+2.8 pct) followed by Central Macedonia (+2.7 pct).
Reductions were recorded in Epirus (-0.1 pct) and the islands of the Ionian Sea (-0.1 pct). In the region of Attica, the increase was +1.7 pct.
In the EU, employment increased in 253 regions and percentage employment increased by 1.6 pct. Employment fell in 26 EU regions and remained stable in two regions.
