Employed People in Bulgaria Seen Up 5.0% by 2018 - Min

The number of employed people in Bulgaria is expected to increase by 5.0% to 3.034 million by 2018, the country's labour ministry said.

More than 270,000 jobs will  be created in the coming years, the ministry said in a press release.

Bulgaria has a population of 7.3 million.

According to data from the Employment Agency, the country's unemployment rate stood at 12.2% in February.

Trade, education and construction are expected to be among the sectors providing employment to the highest number of people in 2018, according to the labour ministry.

At present, the biggest number of jobs are being created in information technologies and services, it added.
