Eight companies and consortia have placed bids for the supervision of the repair of three bridges, part of Bulgaria's Trakia and Hemus highways, the Road Infrastructure Agency said.
The bidders are companies Gradiakt Consult, Rutex, Patinvest - Engineering and Patconsult 2000 and consortia NR Consult - Infram, National Transport Axes, 3S Consult Engineerings and Viaducts 2012, the agency said in a statement.
In September, Bulgaria picked Sofia-based construction company GBS-Infrastructure Construction, Austria's Porr Bau GmbH and a consortium called Geostroy - Mostremont 97 - Patstroy 92 for the repair works. The repair works are scheduled to be completed within 18 months, the agency said back then.
The government has announced that it will allocate 43 million levs ($28.8 million/22 million euro) for the reconstruction of the three bridges, which are among the 11 road facilities identified by the Road Infrastructure Agency as needing urgent repairs.
