President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Georges Dassis will be on a visit to Bulgaria on January 14-15.
The official visit is organised at the invitation of Chairperson of the Bulgarian Economic and Social Council Dr Lalko Dulevski.
This will be Mr Dassis’ first official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of a national council of an EU member state.
Georges Dassis was elected President of the European Economic and Social Committee in October 2015.
In the frames of the visit to Bulgaria the EESC President will meet with Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva and Deputy Prime Minister for Demographic and Social Policies and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Kalfin.
Mr Dassis will also visit the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and the University of National and World Economy.
In the very beginning of the visit to Sofia Mr Dassis will meet with the members of the Bulgarian Economic and Social Council and discuss the 12-year experience of the institution in the development of the civil dialogue.
The Bulgarian Economic and Social Council will award Mr Dassis with an honorary sign for his contribution to the development of the organised civil society.
