EconMin Cautions Bulgaria May Lose EU Funds in Energy

Economy minister Dragomir Stoinev said Bulgaria stands to lose 30 million euro in EU funds in the energy sector by end-2013 and 60 million euro by 2014, the Sofia News Agency (Novinite.com) reported.
One reason why Bulgaria is not utilizing fully the EU resource is that the programmes and the priorities were set by the three-way coalition government (2005-2009) and have been approved by the EU, Stoinev said.
"The business sector does not want business parks built with EU money but steps to modernize the production process, to improve the business environment, and to achieve a green and energy-efficient economy," Stoinev also said.
