After talks in Brussels with EC Vice-President Frans Timmermans and EU Commissioner for Justice Vera Jourova, Bulgarian Minister of Justice Ekaterina Zaharieva pointed out that her interlocutors voiced satisfaction with the political will for continuing the reforms in Bulgaria’s Judiciary system. As a result of the reform the EC expects guaranteed independence, impartiality and higher detection of crime. It was decided that by end-May experts from Great Britain, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands will arrive in Bulgaria for analyzing the work of the prosecution. Their conclusions are to become the fundament of the next monitoring report of the European Commission due by the end of the current year.
