EBRD Optimistic on Bulgaria's Economic Growth

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)'s chief economist has said his institution has a positive outlook on Bulgaria's growth for this and next year.
Sergei Guriev has told public broadcaster BNR that it will be domestic consumption that will serve as an engine for the economy over this period, compared to the export-driven GDP increase of the past years.
In May, the EBRD estimated an increase of GDP measuring 2.5% annually for both 2016 and 2017.
