Bulgaria's economic output declined by 1.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021, after an annual decrease of 3.8% in the previous quarter, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday, confirming an earlier flash estimate.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria's GDP went up 2.5% in the January-March period of 2021, after a 2.2% increase in the fourth quarter of 2020, the NSI said in a statement, citing preliminary seasonally adjusted data.
GDP totalled 27.05 billion levs ($16.8 billion/13.8 billion euro) at current prices in the review period.
