Discussions between Greece and EU Officials Continue in Brussels

The meeting between State Minister Nikos Pappas, Alternate Minister for International Economic Affairs Euclid Tsakalotos and European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici in Brussels concluded on Monday afternoon, government circles said.
During the meeting, the three officials discussed continuing negotiations and in particular how to converge on the issue of Greece’s fiscal gap until the end of 2016.
Moscovici's spokeswoman Annika Breidthardt said after the meeting that it was requested by the Greek side. She also noted that "at this stage in the negotiations, all exchanges of information are useful."
Breidthardt make it clear, however, that an agreement could not be reached without the consent of all three institutions involved.
