The time has come for a more radical increase of the salaries in all sectors, the leader of Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITB), Plamen Dimitrov, told journalists after a meeting with MPs from the ruling party, FOCUS News Agency reported.
The trade union wants not just promises but guarantees for higher wages.
Dimitrov said that last year the wages rose by some 10%, while in the first six months of 2017 the average wage grew 11%. The private sector, the market dictates an increase, he commented. His trade union wants the minimum wage, which is the lowest in the EU, to increase by at least 60-70 leva every year.
