Development Minister Meets EBRD President over Balkan Funding

Greek development and competitiveness minister Costis Hatzidakis discussed with the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Sir Suma Chakrabarti, the funding of energy infrastructure in the Balkans during a meeting on Friday, the Athens News Agency - Macedonian Press Agency reported.
The talks centred on the natural gas Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) pipeline, and funding of Greek companies active in the Balkans, the news agency said.
Greece finds the boosting shots of EBRD funding to Greek businesses in the Balkans of major help, the agency quoted Hatzidakis as saying.
The EBRD is examining an extensive programme of investments in structural projects for the transport and storage of natural gas and the completion of the electric power market in the Western Balkans.
