Deposits of the non-government sector in Bulgarian banks rose by an annual 9.6% to 71.7 billion levs ($42.5 billion/36.7 billion euro) at the end of June, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on Wednesday. On a quarterly basis, the value of deposits of the non-government sector was 2.8% higher at the end of June, BNB said in a monetary statistics report. Corporate deposits by the non-financial sector amounted to 22.7 billion levs at the end of June, up by an annual 15.6%. Household deposits were 7% higher on the year at 49 billion levs at the end of June.
