Delyan Peevski did not receive direct loans from BDB

The Bulgarian Development Bank has been checking economic relation in loans granted by it. This happens after Delyan Peevski was sanctioned under the global "Magnitsky" Act. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov during a hearing in the Parliament. When asked by MRF MP Yordan Tsonev, the minister answered that Peevski, as an individual, had not received any loans from BDB, but several companies are currently being investigated for possible connection with him.

Petkov said that the inspection revealed there were huge salaries for the management of the bank. One of the managers of the Bulgarian Development Bank received over EUR 239,000 of annual salary, and 30,000 euros in bonuses, BNR reporter Marta Mladenova informed.
