Consultative Council on National Security Discusses Schengen Entry, Combating Contraband

Bulgaria's Consultative Council on National Security met on Tuesday to discuss current matters of Bulgaria's security in the context of EU internal security.

It considered the country's joining the Schengen area, the fight against contraband and the use of special surveillance means.

Emerging from the Council meeting hours later, the President said the attendees agreed on several urgent measures, most importantly, the introduction of customs investigation and customs intelligence in Bulgaria. Source BTA
