Construction of 16.5 km Section of Sofia Ring Road May Begin in April

The construction of the 16.5-kilometre section of Sofia's ring road may start in April, news portal Dnevnik.bg reported quoting the chairman of the Road Infrastructure Agency.
The agency is expected to sign a deal with Bulgarian consortium HPVS-SST for the implementation of the project by the end of the month, Stefan Chaikov said. The  consortium, which comprises local companies Hydrostroy, Patni Stroezhi Veliko Tarnovo, Patinzheneringstroy, Patstroy Burgas and Vodstroy98, has offered to carry out the construction works for some 150 million levs ($104.3 million/ 76.7 million euro).
The northern section of the Sofia ring road will connect Trakia, Hemus, Kalotina and Lyulin motorways.
