Concession Contracts in Transport To Fetch 511 Mln Euro in Investments

The concession contracts in transport will entail investments of over 1.0 billion levs ($641 million/511 million euro), the transport ministry said.

The money will come from the 10 sites for which concession contracts have been granted, the ministry said in a statement on Monday quoting transport minister Ivaylo Moskovski.

Along with the Sofia airport, Bulgaria is preparing to award concessions for a number of port terminals in Burgas, Ruse, Vidin, Lom, Nikopol and Tutrakan. It will also seek a concessionaire for the railway stations of Varna and Plovdiv.
