A complaint over the procedure of awarding a contract for the procurement of 400 fully equipped ambulances submitted by an unit of Turkey's Ayan Group of Companies, has blocked the purchase of the equipment, Bulgarian competition regulator said on Tuesday.
Turkey-based Ambulans Ilkyardım ve Hastane Cihazları ve Tesisileri Sanayi Tic has submitted the complaint, according to Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition website.
In March, Bulgaria's health ministry said it opened a 48.7 million levs ($29.1 million/24.9 million euro) tender for the procurement of 400 fully equipped ambulances.
