CEZ Invests 2.5 Million Levs in Replacement of Power Substation Transformers for Winter Season Preparations

CEZ Distribution Bulgaria AD introduced Wednesday Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova to power distribution maintenance carried out in Kyustendil District, Southwest Bulgaria. CEZ invested 348,000 levs in the district in the first 7 months of the year. Repair works were done to two 20 kV overhead power lines and 6 devices signalling short circuits were installed. There were scheduled maintenance works to 304 power substations, the press centre of CEZ Bulgaria announced.
According to Petr Dokladal, Regional Manager of CEZ for Bulgaria, the needed organisation of work for the winter has been established.
CEZ Distribution has so far repaired 60 overhead power lines in Western Bulgaria, has replaced 25 medium voltage cables and 80 power distribution cabinets, and has installed 231 new pieces of switchgear.
Power substation transformers were replaced at the amount of some 2.5 million levs.
CEZ has 400 professional teams that can respond to emergencies in the winter season.
