Cabinet Approves 27 Million Levs of Additional Funding for Municipalities

The Council of Ministers approved additional transfers to the budgets of over 40 municipalities in 2016. The funding is in the amount of 27,212,000 leva and is to be used for infrastructure projects, the government press service reported.
The additional funds will be used on important projects for the local settlements, which will improve the quality of life and access to them. The priority falls on repairing municipal roads and streets, schools and kindergartens, as well as improving the water supply system in a number of settlements.
The funds will come from restructuring spending in the central-government budget for 2016.
