Bulgaria's business sentiment index rose by 1.2 points in March compared to its level in February, mainly due to improved business climate in construction and retail, the National Statistical Institute said.
The construction subindex showed an increase of 1.5 points in March mainly on the back of managers' more positive expectations about the business situation over the next six months. The retail subindex grew by 7.0 percentage points from a month earlier due to managers’ positive expectations regarding the business situation in the two sectors for the upcoming six months.
The subindex, measuring the business climate in industry, decreased by 1.3 points in March, due to the managers' negative evaluation of the current business situation.
The subindex, which measures the business climate in service sector remains near to its February level.
