The Black Sea city of Burgas has invited bids for a contract with an indicative cost of 9.94 million levs ($6.6 million/5.08 million euro), Value Added Tax excluded, for the reconstruction of Sarafovo fishing port, a notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated.
The contract provides for the reconstruction and expansion of existing defenses and construction of new ones to protect the port from the harmful effects of water, as well as for construction of a multi-functional building with a space for fishery products market, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed.
The project is financed by the EU-funded operational programme Fisheries.
Construction works have to be completed within 300 days after the contract is signed.
Bidders should pay a deposit guarantee of 50,000 levs.
Bids have to be submitted by April 25 and will be opened on the next day.
