Bulgartransgaz Extends Deadline in Tender for 4.6 Mln Euro Gas Storage Exploitation Well

Bulgaria’s gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz extended the deadline in a 9.0 million levs ($6.3 million/4.6 million euro) tender for the construction of an exploitation well for the Chiren underground gas storage.
The deadline was moved to November 28 from October 24, the company said, without elaborating on the reasons for its decision.
According to local weekly Stroitelstvo, however, the deadline was extended because no candidates to do the job had shown up.
The Chiren underground gas storage, located in northwestern Bulgaria, has 22 exploitation wells and a capacity of 550 million cubic metres of gas.
