Bulgartransgaz awards 1.3 mln euro control system deal to Bright Engineering

Bulgarian gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz said on Thursday it signed a 2.6 million levs ($1.6 million/1.3 million euro) contract with local company Bright Engineering for the delivery of a distributed control system (DCS).

The deal, awarded on December 1, envisages the delivery and installation of a DCS for the needs of four compressors at Chiren underground gas storage facility, Bulgartransgaz said in a notice.

The public procurement for awarding the contract attracted three offers. Price carried 100% weight in the overall ranking of the bids.

Sofia-headquartered Bright Engineering, founded in 1999, is mostly active in the areas of industrial equipment, field instrumentation, heating systems, and monitoring systems for turbines and compressors. The company has offices in Bulgaria's Varna and Romania's Bucharest, according to information published on its website
