Bulgaria's unemployment registrations jump in week ended Dec 6

Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute (NSI) said that a total of 14,257 people registered with labour offices as unemployed in the week ended December 6, sharply from 6,309 a week earlier.

A total of 3,473 people found a job throughout the week under review, down from 3,720 the week before, NSI data shows.

On November 27, Bulgaria tightened its restrictions aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19. The measures include the shutdown of all restaurants, gyms, shopping malls, and casinos, and are expected to last until December 21.
