Bulgaria's Ruse launches 5.1 mln euro waste management tender

Bulgaria's Ruse municipality said on Friday that it opened a tender for awarding a 36-month contract for waste management services worth an estimated 10 million levs ($6.0 million/5.1 million euro).

The contract envisages the treatment of mixed household waste at the regional landfill for non-hazardous waste that serves the municipalities of Ruse, Slivo Pole, Tutrakan, and Vetovo, the contracting authority said in a tender notice.

The tender aims to extend the operational life of the landfill, the Ruse municipality added.

The deadline for submitting offers is March 22. Technical criteria will carry 60% weight in the overall ranking of the bids.
