Bulgaria's revenues from tourist overnights rise to 134.7 mln euro in July

Total revenue from tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria in July rose to 263.5 million levs ($159.6 million/134.7 million euro), from 122.4 million levs in the same month of 2020, the statistical office said on Friday.

The revenue from overnights spent by foreign nationals amounted to 161.6 million levs in July, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.

The total number of tourist overnights spent in the country in July was over 4.2 million, with 2.2 million overnights spent by foreign tourists.

In July, four and five-star accommodation facilities served 35.5% of the overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists and 74.4% of the overnights of international visitors.

The number of tourists who stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria in the month under review topped 1.1 million, compared to 613,200 a year earlier.
