Bulgaria's residential building permits down 4% y/y in Q4

The number of residential building permits issued in Bulgaria in the fourth quarter of 2020 fell by 4% on an annual comparison basis - to 1,451, the country's statistical office, NSI, said on Thursday.

Compared to the third quarter, the number of residential building permits issued in the October-December period of last year decreased by 14.4%, the NSI said in a statement.

A total of 14 permits for the construction of administrative buildings were issued in the fourth quarter, down 33.3% on the year. Compared to the previous quarter, construction permits for administrative buildings declined by 50%.

As regards other types of buildings, a total of 1,005 permits were issued in the quarter under review - a decrease of 8.9% year-on-year and a drop of 10.3% quarter-on-quarter.
