Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage points (pp) month-on-month in April, to 6.1%, the employment agency said on Monday.
The registered unemployment rate stood at 8.9% a year earlier, the government agency said in a statement.
A total of 24,502 unemployed people found a job with the help of labour offices in April, while 21,924 people registered with labour offices in search of employment.
At the end of April, there were 200,417 registered unemployed people, 13,635 less compared to March and 92,393 less compared to April 2020, the employment agency said.
There were 18,130 registered job vacancies at labour offices in April, 1.7% more compared to the previous month. The manufacturing sector offered 25.6% of all job vacancies, while another 21.6% were in the hotels and restaurants sector.
