Bulgaria's Q1 new passenger car registrations fall 5.8% y/y - ACEA

New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria decreased by an annual 5.8% to 5,584 in the first three months of 2021, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said on Friday.

In March alone, new passenger car registrations in Bulgaria jumped by an annual 33.9% to 2,155, ACEA said in a press release, citing provisional figures.

New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, rose by 3.2% on the year to 2.56 million in the first quarter of 2021. In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, new passenger car registrations were 1.2% lower year-on-year at 287,583.
