Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior warns of fraudulent financial operations via Internet

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior warns of fraudulent ads on the Internet, mainly on Facebook, which "offer" loans on behalf of foreign banks. Communication with potential victims is initially conducted through messaging and chat applications. The fraudsters mainly use telephone numbers with the country code +33, which belongs to France.

Fraudsters present themselves as directors and employees of foreign banks and send photos of foreign identity documents to sound more confident. Experts from the Cybercrime Unit of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime call on the citizens to be extremely vigilant and not to provide personal data.
