Bulgaria's maintains EU's second lowest debt-to-GDP ratio in Q2 - Eurostat

Bulgaria had a government debt-to-GDP ratio of 21.3% in the second quarter of 2020, the second-lowest in the European Union, after Luxembourg, the bloc's statistical office Eurostat said, quoting provisional data.

Bulgaria had the second-lowest debt-to-GDP ratio among EU member states in the first quarter as well, of 20.3%.

Romania's debt-to-GDP ratio of 41.1% was the sixth-lowest among 27 EU member states at the end of June, Eurostat said in a statement on Thursday.

Among EU-27 Greece posted the highest government debt-to-GDP ratio, of 187.4%.
