Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate fell again to its historic low of 5.2% in June, down 0.5 percentage points month-on-month, the Employment Agency said on Thursday.
On an annual comparison basis, the jobless rate declined by 3.1 percentage points, from 8.3% in June 2020, the government agency said in a statement.
A total of 26,090 unemployed people found a job with the help of labour offices in June, while 20,541 people registered as unemployed.
In June, there were 170,716 registered unemployed people - 15,331 less compared to May 2021 and 102,651 less than in June 2020.
The registered job vacancies at labour offices were 19,628 in June, or 13.4% more on a monthly comparison basis and 2.0% less year-on-year.
The manufacturing industry accounted for 27.9% of job vacancies, followed by the hotel and restaurant sector with 23.4%.
The first time on record when Bulgaria's unemployment rate stood at 5.2% was in June 2019.
