Bulgaria’s registered unemployment rate edged down by 0.3 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis to 6.9% in October, the government's employment agency said on Monday.
In a year-on-year comparison, however, the registered unemployment rate increased by 1.3 pp in October, the government agency said in a statement.
As many as 23,045 unemployed people found a job in October, while 33,410 people registered with labour offices in the country.
At the end of October, there were 227,909, registered unemployed people, or 8,149 less compared to September, according to the statement.
There were 19,823, registered job vacancies at labour offices in October, with most of them, 27.4% of the total, in the manufacturing sector.
