Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate edged up 0.1 percentage points (pp) month-on-month to 4.9% in January, the Employment Agency said on Tuesday.
On an annual comparison basis, the jobless rate decreased by 2.1 pp, the government agency said in a statement.
A total of 11,885 unemployed people found a job with the help of labour offices in the first month of 2022, while 25,592 people registered as unemployed.
At the end of January, there were 162,322 registered unemployed people - 5,039 more compared to December 2021 and 29.3% fewer compared to January 2021.
There were 11,788 job vacancies registered with labour offices in January, 3,821 more on a monthly comparison basis, and 410 more year-on-year.
