Bulgaria’s registered unemployment rate edged down by 0.3 percentage points month-on-month to 7.2% in September, the government's employment agency said on Thursday.
On an annual comparison basis, the registered unemployment rate grew by 1.9 pp in the ninth month of 2020, the employment agency said in a statement.
As many as 24,112 unemployed people found a job in the month under review, whereas 28,832 people registered with labour offices in Bulgaria in September.
At the end of September, there were 236,058 registered unemployed people, or 9,716 less compared to the previous month.
There were 21,086 registered job vacancies at labour offices in September, with most of them in the manufacturing sector - 28.2% of the total.
