Bulgaria's industrial production increased 19% year-on-year in March after adding 14.8% in February, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday, quoting preliminary data.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly comparison basis, industrial production went up by 5% in March, after increasing by 0.3% in the previous month, NSI said in a monthly report.
The largest annual growth in the index components was registered in beverage production - 44.7%, followed by the output of wood or wood and cork products, except furniture, and the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products - by 24.0%.
Growth in the output of the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector was 51.1%, whereas the mining and quarrying industry's output expanded by an annual 19.4%.
