Bulgaria's current account was in deficit of 43.5 million euro ($51.3 million) in the seven months through July, compared to a surplus of 734.1 million euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Friday.
The current account deficit in the January-July period was equivalent to 0.1% of the gross domestic product (GDP) projected for 2021, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a statement.
The surplus in the comparable period in 2020 was equivalent to 1.2% of last year's GDP.
