Bulgaria's business climate indicator worsened on a monthly comparison basis in November, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Monday.
The overall business sentiment indicator went down 2.2 percentage points (pp) in November, compared to October, due to decreases in the construction, retail trade, and services indicators, the statistical office said in a monthly business climate survey.
The composite indicator in the retail sector declined the most - by 8.4 pp month-on-month, due to the retailers’ more reserved assessments and expectations. Their forecasts about the volume of sales and the orders placed with suppliers over the next three months too are pessimistic, the NSI said.
The services sector indicator decreased by 4.7 pp and the business sentiment indicator in the construction sector dropped 4.1 pp.
The business sentiment indicator in the industry sector added 3.2 pp month-on-month.
