Bulgaria's 8-mo new passenger car registrations fall 37.6% y/y - ACEA

New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria decreased by an annual 37.6% to 15,206 in the first eight months of the year, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said on Thursday, citing provisional figures.

In August alone, new passenger car registrations in Bulgaria dropped 34.5% to 1,918, ACEA said in a press release.

New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, fell 32.0% to 6.1 million in the January-August period of 2020.

In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, new passenger car registrations were 30.7% lower on the year at 721,198.
