Bulgarian Tie-up Wins 5.9 Mln Euro Deal to Build Bike Lanes in Plovdiv

The second-largest Bulgarian city, Plovdiv, has awarded an 11.6 million lev ($8.2 million/5.9 million euro) deal for the design and construction of bike lanes to a consortium of three local companies, a notice in the EU’s procurement journal indicated.

Five other bidders had filed offers in the tender, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed. The value of the contract does not include value added tax.

The winning consortium, Veloalei Plovdiv 2013, comprises local companies Integrirani patni sistemi, Infrastructural Company and Dragiev and Co.
