Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index climbs new peak

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, broke its closing value record on Thursday, closing 1.24% higher at 144.18 points.

The BGREIT set its previous high, of 144.06 points, on January 25.

Advance Terrafund REIT and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT were the two major BGREIT gainers on Thursday, adding 3% and 2.81%, respectively.

All other indices on the BSE closed in red on Thursday.

The blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.63% to 491.21 points, largely due to a 7.32% drop in the share price of financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased 0.28% to 110.18 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, slid 0.21% to 534.10 points.

Total daily regulated market turnover amounted to 206,000 levs ($128,000/105,000 euro).
