Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency will collect all taxes and other payments due to the state for 2010, promised the agency director Krasimir Stefanov.
Speaking for the Bulgarian National Radio, Stefanov said that his subordinates will gear up all their efforts to achieve that goal.
He vowed BGN 12 B collected by the end of the year, saying up to now BGN 7.5 have entered into revenue.
Stefanov moreover said that the Revenue Agency will continue on its campaign against tax evasion and was positive about results achieved, especially in the Black Sea resorts. He said that as a result of the agency's checks significant amounts reaching over BGN 3 M of hidden turnover have been brought to light.
Throughout 2010 there have been worries that tax collection in Bulgaria cannot ensure the return needed to keep the state budget into good shape, which has been a main point of criticism toward the ruling GERB cabinet.
