President Rumen Radev met with British Ambassador here Emma Hopkins at the presidency on Tuesday.
The Bulgarian head of State expressed hope that following Brexit Bulgaria and the UK will continue their efficient cooperation in key areas of mutual interests such as defence, migration, fight against terrorism, judicial reform, economy and investments.
The UK is a strategic partner of Bulgaria and Europe and ally within NATO, said radev.
The two sides concurred that the adoption of long-term measures for protection of European borders and the fight against human trafficking are in the best interest of all European countries.
The meeting highlighted Bulgaria's efforts to undertake efficient measures in the fight against corruption.
