Bulgarian Post Applies for Meal Voucher Issuer Licence

State-owned operator Bulgarian Post has applied for a licence to issue meal vouchers as part of its financial stabilisation programme, the company’s CEO said in an interview for the Bulgarian national radio.
If Bulgarian Post obtains the licence, it will start issuing meal vouchers as of next year, Plamen Pavlov said.
The company's rehabilitation programme puts a focus on improving international services, Pavlov said, adding that the postal operator has already reached an agreement to partner with a major foreign corporation on international markets and is holding talks with another one.
Earlier this month the country's communications ministry said Bulgarian Post is likely to get by the end of the year up to 9.0 million levs in support from the state for providing services in uneconomic areas of the country.
