Bulgarian PM Nominates Stefan Konstantinov as New Health Minister

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov on Thursday nominated Stefan Konstantinov as the country's new health minister, following the resignation of his predecessor Anna-Maria Borisova, the government said.

"Dr. Stefan Konstantinov is deputy chairman of the managing board of the Bulgarian Doctors Union and member of the board of directors at the hospital in [southwestern town of] Kyustendil," the government press office said in a statement.

The nomination must be approved by parliament to take effect.
