Bulgarian NPP Kozloduy's Net Profit Rises Sharply in H1

Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant (NPP) said its net profit rose to 98.8 million levs ($58.7 million/50.5 million euro) in the first half of the year, from 33.9 million levs in the same period of last year.The power plant's operating revenue grew to 527.2 million levs in the period under review, from 408.9 million levs in the first half of 2018, it said in an interim financial report.Operating profit rose to 107.5 million levs in the period under review, from 37.4 million levs in the same period of 2017.The nuclear plant's gross electricity output increased by an annual 4.5% to 7.9 million MWh in the review period. Kozloduy sold a total of 6 million MWh on the free market and 1.5 million MWh on the regulated market.The power plant's net profit rose to 117.9 million levs in 2017, from 1.4 million levs in 2016.Kozloduy NPP operates two units of 1000 MW each.(1 euro=1.95583 levs)
